5 Movies To Watch Out For This Holiday Season

Image
The holiday season is one of the biggest times of the year to spend time with family and go to the movies. From traditional feel-good fare to superheroes and surviving the end of the world, this year, perhaps more than any other, is bringing a big variety of films to enjoy. There are some awesome movies coming out this holiday season that are definitely on my radar, and might be on yours too. Here are five movies to watch out for in December. Which ones are you most excited to see? Let me know in the comments!

Let's Go To There: Halloween Horror Nights 2018

Image
Every autumn Universal Studios Florida and Hollywood transforms its theme parks under the cover of darkness into scare zones and themed houses. This year, Stranger Things , Poltergeist , Halloween 4 , and The Purge  were just some of the iconic movies and shows to arrive at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort . To be honest, I'm not an avid horror fan, but I like the occasional scare. When my sister and I saw the line-up of houses for this year's HHN, we cast our fears aside to celebrate Halloween a little differently this year. Because it caters to all kinds of fans (mostly 18+) who love to get more than a little freaked out, the event turned out to be perfect for me and my sister to attend.

The Ten Best Christmas Movies of All Time Relay

Image
Nostra  came up with a great idea to get everyone in the Christmas spirit: a Best Christmas Movies of All Time relay race, where bloggers try to decide which are the best holiday movies. Thanks to  Margaret at Cinematic Corner  for passing the torch over to me! Let's get started! Here are the rules: The list has 10 Christmas movies (in random order) and when the baton is handed over to a new blogger, he or she has to remove one title of the list (with an explanation why) and add one new title.  Once that is done a new blogger is contacted who will take the baton and run with it, doing the same (you can reinstate a title which has been previously removed).  As Christmas is in three weeks I want to ask you to publish your entry as quickly as possible to make sure the list changes as much as possible before the 25th of December. Add the logo of this relay race to your post and also add links to those who came before you making it easy for everyone to find...

A Merry Fictional Blog Challenge

Image
'Tis the season to be jolly and ponder about our feels from the past year. I thought it'd be fun to make a challenge to chat about the holiday season and include some of our favorite (or least) fictional characters in on the fun. Below is A Merry Fictional Blog Challenge!  You're invited to join in on the fun! Simply copy & paste the questions to your blog for you to answer. Feel free to use the banner above or make your own. This is an open challenge - so no deadline to participate! Advent Calendar:  What traditions you celebrate during December? Are you starting new traditions this year? Carols:  What's your favorite song(s)? Coal: A naughty character you'd send coal to? Fireplace: Favorite Christmas movie that melts your heart? Gingerbread: What's your favorite holiday snack? Hot Cocoa: What's your favorite drink? Lights: A character has had the brightest or most positive impact for you this year? Mistletoe: Character you'd like to me...

5 Favorite FRIENDS Thanksgiving Episodes

Image
Halloween has its horror movie marathons. Christmas has it's A Christmas Story 24-hour takeover on TBS. And, Thanksgiving has to be all about Friends. Perhaps the best moments of the gangs' dysfunctional friendships and mishaps came out around the holidays, just like all of us normal folk. One of my favorite ways to get into the holiday spirit is to watch their awkward and funny Thanksgiving episodes full of sisterly quarrels, secrets coming out of the closet, and the Gellar competition out in full swing. Hope you enjoy this post, the one with the Friends Thanksgiving Episodes! Which ones are your favorites? Feel free to share in the comments!

Eat, Drink, and Answer Halloween Questions!

Image
I'm a huge nerd for questionaires. On a little old website called LiveJournal, friends could send each other questions and memes about their favorite fandoms and life in general. Mostly these days "ask box" challenges are passed around on tumblr. Grabbing a  Halloween-themed ask  over on tumblr, I thought it'd be fun to answer some of them here. I tag anyone who wants to do the same thing here or on tumblr, and feel free to leave a comment of your answers! Bat:  If you could transform into any kind of animal, what animal would you be? As a swimmer, and someone who loves to travel, I'd transform into a bird - probably a duck. A lame choice probably but they are so cute and have the best of both worlds: land, water and people at parks feed them all the time. They have it made! Black Cat:  Are you superstitious? If so, what are you superstitious about? I'm not superstitious but I'm a little stitious. Broomstick:  If you could travel anywhere in...
